Back
The previous trip had been mentioned as “p*ss easy” but 10 years, numerous pies and swimming pools of ale later….
Gathering at the farm in George’s rather nice A4 and Nigel’s racey 106 we were treated to a luxury change behind the farm. However the pies and ale over the passed decade had unknowingly take their toll….
Why do cavers insist on walking up a hill in too tight wetsuits and full SRT harnesses????
I quote George “hard cave? One guy didn’t even make it to the entrance!”
Yes indeed Nigel collapsed half way up the hill very red and very angry “Stupid wetsuit fitted me last year. Go on, go on without me”
Tim had enough and took off his harness just as the entrance came in site…”bl**dy typical” enough said.
With the rope rapidly ???? installed down the entrance Sooty tried to commit suicide by
burning through the rope he was hanging on.
Once all at the bottom (of the entrance shaft, not Sooty’s!) we headed off. Remember
how easy it had been 10 years ago no-
Well what fun squeezing round the rifrs in the entrance series for 3 hours in overheated
wetsuits!!!
Eventually finding the way on Tim was too hot and was beaten by the cave.
