Wretched Rabbit - 7 November 2004

Present: Sooty, Paul, George and Tim

Tim dusted off his caving gear, recharged his lamp and headed off to the beloved Yorkshire Dales enroute Mr Sooty was picked up.  Sooty decided to educate Tim in the ways of the band “Cake” which contain some classic lines which referred to sex or swearing.

After a quick sausage butty in Bernies the two North Manchester lads joined the Hale Barn sect at Bull Pot farm.  Shortly after setting off Tim bumped into JAK from Red Rose (an old uni mate) and after some short reminiscing setting off for the cave.

After ¾ of an hour of searching the obvious entrance was located! – prior to this Sooty and Tim had a recee down Swildon’s (shit we must have been lost – what were we doing looking for wretched rabbit in the mendips?) and Tim got stuck in the bedding.

Log Book

The knotted landlines caused some merriment and Sooty, George and Tim had to

try to contain Paul’s roaming ways enroute to the main streamway.  Paul had some fun with the large stal, as he thought it was a willy!!!!

Down in the mainstream we never did find the way into the high level, but thoughts (except Paul’s) were with a pint of ale.

George really enjoyed the knotted rope climbs on the way out and a chick with a full bag of wet rope hung from her showed us how it was done! We really are poor cavers!!!!

Never mind we had 4 hours underground and the trip will read:
