Bull Pot of the Witches Saturday 9th April 2005

Present – Sooty, Paul, Tim, George, Tony and Lee

An easy drive up saw Sooty, Tim and Lee being greeted by Paul and George in Inglesport (too early for Bernies!!!).  Great to have Paul back after his fractured knee.  Tony turned up a few minutes later and soon George and Lee were talking religion and Paul was talking about eating other people’s leftovers in the Marton Arms (the Group decided that the elderly couple who left the half eaten pizzas may have engaged in oral sex before their meal and Paul was enjoying the “leftovers” !

Anyway we weren’t there to enjoy ourselves to had a cave to do.

Soon at Bull Pot of the Witches and we had a quick change and a short walk.

The slippery slope around the entrance SHAFT focused the mind (indeed it was a slippery shaft and smelly of wild garlic).

At the first pitch Tim sat over the large way down the slot forcing everyone to squeeze down.  Luckily Lee clipped into the correct RING !!!!!

At the bottom Sooty took photos of Paul enjoying the base of the wet shaft (standing on the ROCKS), with the sunlight streaming down it was as if Paul was having a GOLDEN SHOWER.

On down the Cathole and everyone positioned the rope protector correctly except Tim (who had been instructing everyone else!)

Some nice canyon was followed and then much merriment route finding which saw Tony and Lee taking the easy way and everyone else going through a flat out crawl

LONG CHAMBER was enjoyed by all and on down to the End Chamber where Tony climbed up the world’s longest fixed rope whilst we took more photos.

Then back the way the previous visit had taken with Paul and Tony enjoying the side squeezes.

Back off out to find Lee freezing behind the car – poor lamb!

At the pub Sooty, Tim and Lee enjoyed a pint only to find out later that George had
